Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and DogStack LLC (“DogStack”, “we”, “us”) and govern your use of the DogStack service: the website at dogstack.show, the app at app.dogstack.show, and the DogStack mobile apps. By using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
Two roles have an additional agreement. Clubs and superintendents who publish shows accept the Services Agreement presented in the app, which governs paid organizer use and controls over these terms if they conflict. Ring stewards accept the Steward Access Acknowledgment before updating a ring.
2. The service is an informational aid
DogStack displays ring schedules and live ring progress for dog shows. It is an informational aid only. The official printed judging program and the presiding judge and ring steward remain the sole authority for when and where judging happens. Do not rely solely on DogStack to know when to be at your ring.
3. Accounts
You can view live ring progress without an account. If you create one, you must be at least 13 years old, provide accurate information, and keep your credentials (including any steward PIN) confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you must tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use
- Don’t break the law, or abuse, harass, or impersonate others.
- Don’t enter false ring progress or use steward access you are not authorized to use.
- Don’t interfere with the service: no attacks, probing, scraping at volumes that degrade it, or circumventing access controls.
- Don’t upload content you don’t have the right to share.
5. Show information and content
Organizers publish show information (schedules, rings, judges’ names from the official judging program), and the service displays it publicly, along with live ring progress. If you submit content, you keep ownership of it and grant DogStack the license to host, process, and display it needed to operate the service, and you represent that you have the right to submit it. We may remove content that violates these terms or the law.
6. Fees
Viewing shows and following rings is free. Organizers pay a one-time fee, priced per ring per show day, presented at checkout before a show is published, and processed by Stripe. Card details never reach DogStack. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable once the show is published. Fee terms for organizers are governed by the Services Agreement.
7. Intellectual property
DogStack owns the platform, this site, and the DogStack marks. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms. You may share links and quote brief excerpts with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions of the site, frame it, or use our marks as your own. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
8. Third-party services
The service relies on third-party providers (for example Stripe for payments), and may link to sites we don’t control. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOGSTACK DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT SCHEDULES, TIMING, OR LIVE PROGRESS ARE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOGSTACK WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE (INCLUDING A MISSED RING), AND DOGSTACK’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS CAPPED AT THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS AND THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID DOGSTACK IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify DogStack against third-party claims arising from content you submit or your breach of these terms.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service, or delete your account, at any time. See dogstack.show/delete-account. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, creates risk for the service or others, or as required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (5, 7, and 9–13) survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in San Diego County, California, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the service, and both parties consent to venue there.
14. General
These terms, the Privacy Policy, and (for organizers and stewards) the in-app agreements are the entire agreement between you and DogStack about the service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A waiver must be in writing. You may not assign these terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the business. We may update these terms prospectively. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above and announce material changes to subscribers and account holders, and your continued use after a change is acceptance of the updated terms.
